About
About Minge Funerals
Minge Funerals has been a cornerstone of the Murray Bridge and surrounding communities since 1933, when Claude Minge Sr. began his apprenticeship with local undertaker and carpenter Wally Pfeiffer. Following Pfeiffer’s passing in 1950, Claude and his wife Rhonda took over the business.
In 1988, the family established a purpose-built funeral chapel at 63 Swanport Road, which remains the current location of Minge Funerals. After Claude Sr.’s passing in 1982, Rhonda, along with their son Claude and his wife Elizabeth, continued the family legacy. Upon their retirement in 2012, Scott Harrington, with over two decades of experience in the funeral industry (including six years working for Claude and Elizabeth), assumed leadership.
Following Scott’s passing in 2023, the Kleemann family, renowned for their dedication to providing compassionate, personalised care for South Australian families, proudly took over the stewardship of Minge Funerals.
As a proudly family-owned and operated, independent business, Minge Funerals remains committed to serving the community with the same integrity, care, and personal attention that have defined it for over 90 years.
